By submitting a repair to us you are agreeing to the following terms:
Please see our warranty page to check if your product qualifies for a warranty repair. If your Heil Sound product is still under warranty, proof of purchase must be included with the repair.
For international repairs please contact us via email at email@example.com prior to sending your product in for repair. Provide as much detail and pictures as possible and we will provide guidance on repair options.
If you would like an estimate before any repair work is done, please specifically request one on the Heil Service Form; be certain to include your daytime telephone number and e-mail address. We will call or e-mail the quote following the inspection of the product. If you send your product in for repair, but decline the repair charges there is an assessment charge of $18.00 plus return shipping charges.
We can refurbish your headset using new parts, new earpads, and cable, if needed for $64.00. This excludes the cost of a new microphone element. Replacing a new element is $45.00 additional, if needed. All out-of-warranty products are dealt with on a case-by-case basis and the ability to repair is not guaranteed.
Please note that we no longer repair or refurbish Traveler headsets or Classic microphones.
Acceptable payment methods
Acceptable payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, personal check, and money order. If paying by personal check, your order will be held until your check is cleared.
Shipping and Handling
We ship via UPS Ground starting at $18. When sending in more than one product the charge will go up. Faster delivery methods are available upon request at increased shipping rates. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the party requesting the service work. Turnaround time for repairs is typically three to four working days plus shipping time. We will notify you via e-mail of your tracking number when the shipment is processed if you include your e-mail address. Heil Sound is not responsible for any items that are lost or damaged during shipping.
Please print and complete the required Heil Ham Radio Repair Form, and ship it with your product for service. If your product is still under warranty, please indicate that on the repair form. Dated proof of purchase is required for all warranty repairs.
Any products that are not paid for or returned without sufficient contact information and no contact from the customer will be disposed of after 15 business days.
