The Heil Pro 7 is an aviation-style headset designed for amateur radio use in high-noise environments. The specially designed foam-gel ear pads provide 26 dB outside noise reduction and provide exceptional comfort. A true dual-channel, stereo headset, the Pro 7 features an audio balance control that allows the user to adjust the level of the left earphone to match the right. A unique phase-reversal switch greatly helps the listener “dig out” weak signals. The latest version of the Pro 7 features a monitor jack, which allows a second operator to plug in headphones and monitor audio.
The flexible gooseneck mic boom on Pro 7s may be rotated for use on either the right or left ear. Two production versions are available, depending on whether you require a dynamic or electret microphone element. However, the microphone elements are easily interchangeable, allowing you to swap out elements to be used with different rigs or for contesting or DX purposes. Check out the different element options here. The Heil Pro 7 headsets will work with current AD-1 series adapter cables and accessories. See our Adapter Selector to find the right cable for your radio.
The Pro 7 is available with either a dynamic or iC electret element. The Pro 7 is available with either a dynamic or iC electret element. Additional or replacement elements, including the HC-74 Contest/DX element, can be purchased separately here.

Definetly the best head phones i have ever used. the only complaint i have is where the cable connects to the phones the cable hits my shoulder and causes
noise in the phones. is there a 90 deg adapter that can be purchased to keep the cable off the shoulder. thanks for the great Pro7 phones.

Exceptional Heil quality product. The headset is SOLIDLY constructed. Headphones are soft and comfortable. Isolates surrounding noise so well my Wife hates them! Couples seamlessly with the adaptor to my Yaesu Ft991 a. Heil hand and footcswitches interface perfectly.
Great reports using the dynamic microphone.
Hours of clutter-free deskspace with comfortable fit makes them a great investment!

I just purchased a set of these and wow. I am a new ham working a Yaesu FTdx-10 along with a Chameleon MPAS 2.0 vertical. I recently decided to upgrade my antenna with a capacitance hat and my radio with the Pro 7. It is like a new radio station, the phase switch lets you kind of toggle between two conversations in a pile up. I just can’t put into words the difference between headphones and speaker. I can switch between the hand transmit button or VOX-MOX with the flick of a switch. The headphones are comfortable, loud, and I have been getting mostly 5-9 reports with the mic. I love them.
